My Body is my temple

Our bodies obviously play an important role while we are living here on planet earth… ... it truly is the temple to which our soul is housed. No matter our physical condition,… it’'s what we do to nourish & feed the body “we have been given” which is important. When we honor our bodies, we honor ourselves and say silently to the Universe, "“I am grateful for my body and appreciate you trusting me with the responsibility of taking care of this beautiful gift you have given me."”So, while I absolutely do not claim to be a doctor or nutritionist, I do feel like I have had an amazing amount of schooling from Life University to be able to at least talk about my years of experience and to point others in a direction to “help themselves”. Without going into the whole story here, I can tell you that though diagnosed with an auto immune disease, I have been able to create a balanced healing path with a natural daily regime. I have energy, I am happy and it's all because I did my own research, as the typical allopathic medical field was not able to assist. After years of searching I finally found the right people to work with, the appropriate natural supplements to take, the approriate energy balancing system for me and the right food combinations. Ok, let’s have a quick chat about food …... First, I do not judge anyone who eats animals. I have been there, done that, been there again and done that again. I went from eating steak, chicken & fish, to being vegetarian, vegan, raw, gluten free and sugar free. On my journey through the Kingdom of Sustenance and all its yummy fascination, I do believe that a healthy diet should consist heavily of natural growing planetary food… ...basically organically grown vegetables, legumes and fruits. Why? Because I agree with Dr. Gabriel Cousens who says... "“Food that is grown with love, picked with love, prepared with love, and eaten with love has a different quality than food that goes through those stages with a different consciousness relating to it."” - Gabriel Cousens, MD from his book Spiritual Nutrition. Vibration and intention mean EVERYTHING.Now, that doesn'’t mean you cannot have a bag of chips or triple slice of cake every so often, however it does mean respecting yourself enough to either limit this type of eating habit or finding a healthier counterpart. Nourishing our body is only one component of true health, albeit an extremely important one though...hence why I believe in a whole-istic approach and discuss mind and spirit as well. Taking care of our “wholeness” allows us to live in harmony and balance within the body structure we have been given to work with. As author Harold W. Becker states, “"What we put in the body can sustain us or hinder us. For example, many of us retain the eating habits of our youth - a time when we are active and growing physically. Yet, in later years we consume much greater quantities of food than our bodies truly require. This is born out of routine rather than physical need. Additionally, poor eating habits from early years often stick with us and can cause greater difficulties in later years if not corrected and updated. This is only one of the challenges we face with personal nutrition today.In these wonderful days of choice, it is becoming increasingly clear we need to practice discrimination in what we eat. It is not that any one item is bad or wrong, rather it is the cumulative effect that begins to stress and wear down the body. This, in turn, can make it difficult to maintain a positive attitude in life. With lower energy we lose our balanced point of power. This can then affect our thoughts, feelings, relationships, career, etc. The cycle usually comes full circle with more improper eating to offset the negative feeling. Ironically, the solution may be easier than we think. The key is our willingness to change. We can begin by balancing our thoughts and feelings which leads us to a balanced physical body.”" The Love Foundation health page While I am certainly not here to try and convert anyone to becoming a vegetarian, I am asking you to think about how you can change your diet to accommodate a healthier lifestyle overall. For some of you, a complete overhaul in your diet might be appropriate, however for many it might just mean adding in more vegetables and fruit and removing some processed foods. It's important to go at your own pace and follow your intuition. There are hundreds of ways to go about changing one's diet, so research this as much as you can and talk to your health care provider for assistance. If, by chance, you are seeing an allopathic practitioner, I do suggest you additionally find a practitioner who approaches health from a more natural perspective... so look for a practitioner of Naturopathy, Ayurvedic, Holistic, Acupuncture and so on. They will more than likely help empower you to make the right decision for yourself. For those living the greater Seattle area, I personally recommend Fern Life Center in Issaquah. In obtaining optimum health, it is critical to include a fitness regime for the mind. There are various ways to do this, but for now I will note a small handful: creative & positive thinking, meditation and re-wiring our thought patterns to embrace new ways of doing & saying things. One of the key ingredients in all of the modalities listed above though, is the importance of our “feeling world”, no matter which means of fitness routine we choose. So, our choices need to represent our intent and gratitude, our words, as well as our belief systems, while paying close attention to our “feelings”. An example might be; if you are reciting positive thoughts over and over in your mind like, "“I am wealthy, healthy and wise"” or "“I am happy, abundant and free" ...” … while they are important to assist you in your growth, if you really are not “feeling” that you are worthy of these statements, then they may be lovely thoughts, however they do not have any fuel or power to assist in your transformation. Basically, they don'’t become a part of you. They remain external as opposed to internal. This can contribute to lack of health or success in your life, be it business, relationships or personal development. That said… when you master these, success can manifest almost immediately. This is why meditation is helping so many gain clarity in their life, which then leads to active creative thinking and the re-wiring of their own thoughts. This is where the magic happens. Becker and Wayne Dyer by now… as they (among thousands of others) speak of "Spirit" in various ways... and also discuss connecting to a higher consciousness. Well, I would like to also introduce to you someone you may not know yet, her name is … Marie Manuchehri. “"Marie is a gifted energy medicine healer who is the perfect bridge between conventional and holistic medicine. You do not need to be in ill health to be out of balance in your business, your finances or your relationships. If you read carefully, you will understand that her reference to “beings of light” is an important one... not only in regards to healing from a “health” perspective, but why bringing this up on our Spirit tab here makes sense. Our connection to ourselves and the Universe is the inner key to transform our lives...… be it physical-emotional-mental wellness or relationships, financial, business and so on. Simply put, we are light beings. Made up of a molecular structure that connects us to, through, around and within the Universal construct. So what does the term “"Spirit”" have to do with this? Well, everything. Spirit is your life force. Spirit is your core essence of that light being that works through EVERYTHING in your entire life. You might call it by other names and that is fine,… however in your true essence, this is the Spirit of YOU ... no matter how you look at it or names you call it. Ok, what does that mean? Well, it means a few things...… 1) That …... going “"within"” to heal and transform is incredibly important, otherwise you go “without”. 2) That ...… balancing all parts of your world through various forms of transformation can lead to a vibrant and passionate life filled with love, joy, opportunity, renewal and abundance. Spirit is our fuel and vitality and is the very source at which our true authentic self emerges. It is where transformation occurs. Spirit is our bank account, our health account and our relationship account.
